I'm delighted to share that the book I've been presenting at BCBF 2023 has been included in the IBBY Honour List 2024 🥰
As a long-time admirer of both illustrators, I could not be more proud in being entrusted with the task of introducing their works to the world. This exquisitely crafted book draws its inspiration from the long and arduous journeys hill tribe children in the Northern Thailand mountains undertake to reach school. While this is a common experience for them, it's a truly unique story for many other children.
Accompanied by her older brother and a friendly gorilla named Koko, a long and unfamiliar path is not too daunting for a little child like Nana. Along the way, readers will meet a diverse cast of surprising characters in various settings, creating a sense of wonder and turning the journey to school into a truly magical experience for any child.
