My first tryout on picturebook production.
Mafun is a story about how a family of tooth eaters deceived a child that they were tooth fairies, who came to protect and clean the teeth for the child, and successfully created a town in the child's mouth.
The story is written in three types of Thai poems;
octameter poem (กลอน 8 or กลอนสุภาพ),
Kap Chabang (sedecimmeter) poem (กาพย์ฉบัง 16),
Kap Surang Kanang (vīgintī octōmeter) poem (กาพย์สุรางคนางค์ 28).
The book has one open-flap on the eight spread.
The illustration technique is a mixture between water colour, coloured pencil and collage.
I spent around one and a half month to finish the illustrations and the picturebook's layout.
