Annoyed by hot weather, a giant swallows down the whole sun and causes a long period of darkness on the earth. Plants wither. People are plunged into hunger and desperation.

 

In the darkest time, Kong volunteers to battle with the giant and get the sun back. An angel gives him magic food to bid him farewell and tells him that just one bite of it will give him all the strength he needs to win the battle.
